For successful bird breeding you need to set up there environment in a bird aviary
Breeding differs from different types of birds but in general most of them will breed in the spring time. There are other types that can breed all year around and this makes it easy for them to produce young birds. The first step for a bird to breed with another bird is they have to have courtship and this can happen in several different ways. The male bird will show it beautiful colors and then begin to dance around the female bird to show its intentions. When the female accepts the offer from the male then it is ok for them to breed and produce offspring. The next thing that the birds will do together is to prepare the nest for the new ones arrivals. The goal with the nest is to build it so that there are no threats form predators. There are many situations where the birds will build multiple nest to act as decoys to avoid having there young eaten by intruders. Once the eggs are laid then each parent takes a role in sitting on the eggs until they hatch. Usually whoever is sitting on the eggs the other bird will get food for the other one. Also male birds are very territorial and will keep away an threats during this period. Finally when the new ones hatch then it is up to both parents to raise them and feed there young until there are old enough to take care of themselves. |
